RapidSwitch is offering dedicated hosting for a new B2B online marketplace catering to the global online recycling marketplace. RapidSwitch, part of UK-based cloud computing company iomart Group plc, is providing a range of services for Recycling.com including storing data for Recycling.com transactions through a dedicated server located at RapidSwitch’s 1,300 square meter ISO27001 and 9001 accredited data center in Maidenhead UK.
Established in Sept 2011, Recycling.com is managed by London-based Small World Solutions Ltd. The site provides a platform for global online trading of recyclables such as paper, plastics, and metals. It offers auctions that take place between recyclable material sellers and buyers. After 6 months of operation the site is already being utilized by 150 companies in over 17 different countries. The turnover of current members is more than $12 billion annually.
