Web Hosting Provider Verio Offers New Domain Services |
 |
June 3, 2006 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web hosting provider Verio (http://www.verio.com) has announced the launch of new domain services designed to enable small businesses to quickly establish a web presence. The new services include Verio domain name registration (DNR) which includes a tool that suggests suitable domain names when a customer's first choice is not available. They also include a Domain Reservation service that enables people to reserve names that are already in use.
Given increasing concerns about privacy on the Internet, Verio enables customers to register a domain without revealing key contact or other personal details to the public and thus helps users avoid identity theft and unwanted spam. People signing up for domains with Verio also receive a temporary starter plan with a site building tool and initial three-page website offering email, spam and virus protection. Users can later upgrade to a full Verio hosting plan with tools that meet the needs of business customers.
"Verio's enhanced domain services are the essential foundation to provide end users with a rich domain registration and hosting experience. We listened to many current customers who wanted a simple way to kick-start their online presence, and these enhancements lower the barriers associated with creating a site and provide a migration path to full service hosting plans," suggested Dennis Boyle, COO of Verio. "As a leading managed services provider to small businesses, we want to make it fast and easy for them to do business on the Internet. Verio will continue to offer enhancements to ease the process of establishing business operations online," added Mr. Boyle. |
