US Web Hosting Provider Host Color Announces Dynamic Support for PHP 4 and PHP 5 Scripting in New Panel

January 23, 2006
January 23, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH) – US shared web hosting provider Host Color (http://www.hostcolor.com) has announced it has integrated support for PHP 4 and PHP 5 scripting in its new NextColor hosting Control Panel. A special section in their control panel allows customers to choose the PHP version they require for their site.

"We are a company that listens very carefully to what its customers say. That's why after being approached by numerous customers asking specifically for PHP 4 or PHP 5 hosting, we decided to add this new feature in our control panel. Together with the improved SSH capability that we have added to our NextColor control panel, we feel that our hosting has some unique features and is a powerful medium for web developers, "suggested Host Color's Executive Director Vesselin Drangajov.

Although scripts written in PHP should run on both versions 4 and 5, each version has a number of special requirements. Released in July 2004, there has been a major re-design of the language in PHP version 5 and it has far wider object-orientated capabilities than previous versions. Host Color's chief software developer Venelin Mihaylov mentioned that Host Color was one of the first web hosting companies to offer PHP 5 and suggested the company’s new switching capability is an example of its policy to produce software and services that empower end users.
