Web Hosting Provider The Planet Offers Dual Xeon Promotion
March 4, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider The Planet (http://www.theplanet.com/) is offering a promotion on its Dual Xeon offering, the company announced yesterday. The company, which bills itself as “the world’s largest privately held dedicated hosting company”, is reducing the cost of Dual Xeon 2.4 servers by 29% until March 31, 2008 or until “promotional supplies last”.
The Planet’s servers are available through the company’s six data centers and feature Intel Dual Xeon 2.4GHz processors, two 80GB hard drives, 1024MB RAM and 1500GB of bandwidth. “We’re offering a temporary price reduction on a popular server that provides plenty of power and performance,” explained The Planet’s Director of Product Management, Urvish Vashi.
“When combined with the quality of our network and data centers, this provides customers a great platform from which to build their business,” he added.
The Planet caters for around 22,000 small- and medium-size businesses and 6.7 million websites worldwide.
