Web Hosting and Domain Name Provider Go Daddy Comes to the Aid of Arizona Humane Society |

October 25, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting and domain name provider Go Daddy came to the aid of the Arizona Humane Society recently when the company stepped in to provide the nonprofit organization with web hosting. The switch came after society’s website suffered an outage which threatened to prevent online donations during its annual telethon.
The society’s website, hosted by an unnamed company, was unable to maintain the levels of traffic generated by the event. The outage came as GoDaddy.com Founder and CEO Bob Parsons agreed to match online donations. An alternative website address for telethon donations was quickly created and things ran smoothly for the rest of the event. A total of $117,000 in online donations were pledged with Parsons donating $50,000 on behalf of Go Daddy.
“We agreed on the spot that we would transfer our Web hosting over to GoDaddy.com,” explained Cheryl Naumann, Arizona Humane Society President and CEO. “Go Daddy’s quick response at the telethon saved our behinds. We’re the highest grossing pet telethon in the United States. Our website simply has to work. By switching to GoDaddy.com, we have the peace of mind that such an incident won’t happen again.” |
