Survey Suggests Companies Still Concerned About Cloud Security
A recent survey has suggested that companies are still concerned about security in the cloud. The survey, conducted by auditing solutions software provider Netwrix Corporation (Netwrix), suggests that 65% of companies asked are worried about migrating from “on-premise” solutions to the cloud and 40% are concerned about losing control of their data in the cloud.

Netwrix, which has headquarters in Irvine, California, United States alongside a presence in the United Kingdom, was established in 2006. The company specializes in auditing software solutions for systems and applications in an IT environment. It caters to around 150 companies globally. Its “Netwrix 2015 Cloud Security Survey” took in 600 IT professionals around the world from companies that operate in the a range of sectors including manufacturing, government, healthcare, finance, education and technology. The survey went on to suggest that 30% of organizations have invested in improved cloud security, while 40% and more would invest in additional cloud security to keep data safe. 71% suggested continuous auditing would make the cloud safer.

"We wanted to find out the exact reasons that prevent companies from cloud adoption and taking advantage of all the benefits it offers," explained Netwrix’s Co-founder and CEO, Alex Vovk. "The survey revealed the interesting fact that even though the cloud is not a new technology, the cloud market has a good potential to grow further. Advanced security solutions and true visibility into what is going on across the cloud infrastructure will help companies minimize security risks, take back control over business-critical assets and accelerate cloud adoption."
