SoftLayer Cloud Infrastructure Now Available to Ingram Micro Customers
IBM's SoftLayer cloud Infrastructure is now available to Ingram Micro Inc. customers. Ingram Micro is the world's largest wholesale technology products distributor and has headquarters in Santa Ana, California, USA. It offers a wide range of "global technology and supply chain services to businesses around the world". It plans to offer SoftLayer in a number of countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Mexico, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

SoftLayer owns and operates data centers in North and South America, the Asia Pacific region, and in Europe. The company has become the industry's leading Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company, with a range of cloud services such as virtual servers, bare metal servers, networking, storage, and security options, and cloud services that extend to public, private or hybrid clouds. Ingram Micro's cloud marketplace will enable its channel partners to "easily configure and manage SoftLayer" through its user interface.
