Renée James Joins Computer Technology and Cloud Company Oracle’s Board of Directors
Renée James has joined computer technology and cloud company Oracle’s Board of Directors. Oracle, which has headquarters in Redwood City, California, United States, was established in 1977. The company is noted for its integrated cloud applications and platform services. These include enterprise resources planning software and the Oracle E-Business Suite - a software solution for SMBs and enterprises. Ms. James was elected to the board on December 16, 2015.

Ms. James’ inclusion to Oracle’s Board brings its membership to 13 full-time directors. She was formerly Intel Corporation’s President and spent 25 years with the company in charge of its expansion into enterprise, security and cloud-based computing and proprietary and Open Source (OS) software and services provision. She is also Vice Chair of the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee and a Director of Vodafone Group Plc and Sabre Corporation.

"We are pleased to have Renée join our Board as an independent Director," explained Oracle’s Chief Technology Officer and Board Chairman, Larry Ellison. "She will bring a unique perspective and tremendous depth of experience and knowledge of the technology industry to our Board."
