Rackspace Managed Hosting Appoints EMEA Managing Director |

July 5, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Rackspace Managed Hosting (http://www.rackspace.co.uk) has appointed a new EMEA Managing Director to support its expansion in continental Europe and the UK, it was announced yesterday.
Rackspace Managed Hosting has appointed a new Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Managing Director to support its expansion in continental Europe and the UK, it was announced yesterday. The company named Doug Loewe into the position. Mr. Loewe has 20 years of commercial and management experience in the Internet and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Rackspace he was Vice President and Managing Director, EMEA at iPass and has previously held executive positions with Cable & Wireless, Genuity, WorldCom, UUNET, and CompuServe.
“Doug joins Rackspace at a time of significant business growth and his business expertise will help us realise our expansion plans across Europe,” explained Rackspace Managed Hosting’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Lanham Napier. “His track record of driving business growth and leading global teams will make him a great leader for Rackspace. Jacques Greyling, who has done an incredible job over the last 12 months helping us to maintain 80% year over year growth, will be moving to the role of Operations Director, enabling him to focus on the technical side of the business and developing Fanatical Support.”
