JDA Software and Cloud Giant Google partner on Software
JDA Software Group, Inc. (JDA) and cloud giant Google have formed a partnership. JDA will be involved in producing "next generation" software for the Google cloud platform (Google Cloud). Under the leadership of Baljit S. Dail and established in 1985, JDA has headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. The company, which has 4,800 employees in 70 offices worldwide, specializes in providing solutions for supply chain management and retail planning alongside solutions for manufacturing and retail planning.

The partnership sees Google provide platform technology and JDA offer business solutions. The company will utilize Google's platform to launch a new Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) "omnichannel" alongside a number of supply chain options. In addition, the company will establish extensions for current products such as customer segmentation solutions which detail and order online shoppers based on preferences and previous purchases. With this data online retailers will be more able to focus on their required markets.

“With thousands of successful customers — including 21 customers named as part of the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 for 2015— JDA has clearly established its leadership in delivering world-class retail and supply chain solutions,” explained JDA Software's Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Serge Massicotte in a company press release. “To maintain and expand that leadership, JDA is focused on developing new innovative products and services that will truly change the supply chain landscape. By working with Google — an established innovation leader — JDA will concentrate on working with our customers to co-develop these groundbreaking solutions with Google Cloud Platform, providing an unmatched foundation. It’s a huge win-win for JDA customers, who will benefit from best-in-class solutions, delivered rapidly, from two proven market leaders working together.”
