Web Hosting Provider IPOWER Merges with Rival
May 11, 2007 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web hosting provider IPOWER (http://www.ipowerweb.com) has merged with rival The Endurance International Group (http://www.enduranceinternational.com), it was announced this week. According to a company announcement, IPOWER and Endurance will operate on an individual basis, but will cooperate in the area of hosting and other web services. The union creates the third-largest web hosting company in the USA with the newly formed organization serving more than 600,000 sites and hosting around 1 million domains.
"While IPOWER and Endurance have each been successful on their own, it has been clear to both companies that continued success requires more scale and resources than either company could have alone," explained IPOWERs Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Thomas Gorny. "The ability of the merged companies to grow simultaneously through organic customer adds and acquisitions, along with new product offerings to our combined customer base, will make for an incredible force in the industry."
Established in 2001, IPOWER is based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, and predominantly caters for small- and mid-sized businesses. The organization has customers in several countries around the world. The Endurance International Group was established in 1997 and offers shared web hosting and online services for business.
"IPOWER and Endurance are both known for innovation," explained Endurance Internationals Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Steve Sydness. "Together, we can lead the industry with best-in-class products and technologies that enable us to respond quickly to our dynamic industry-and address our customers' growing expectations," he added.
