Web Hosting Provider Hosting.com Offers Holiday Promotion Aimed at Benefiting Children in Developing Countries |

November 3, 2007 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web hosting provider Hosting.com (http://www.hosting.com) is offering a holiday promotion aimed at benefiting children in developing countries, it was announced recently. The company will donate a laptop to One Laptop per Child (OLPC) for every server it sells during November and December 2007.
"As a high-tech company with clients all over the world we realize the value of ensuring all parts of the world have access to the latest in technological advancements. It is through efforts like OLPC that we can help spread the culture of learning through technology to even the most remote corners of the world," explained President and CEO of Hosting.com, Mr. Darren King.
OLPC provides textbook sized XO Laptops with wireless routers, which are designed to be durable and can be re-charged by human power. They are currently being used in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Central America, Ethiopia, Libya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Pakistan, and Thailand. A $200 donation enables OLPC to pay for and deliver one XO Laptop. Hosting.com anticipates donating a minimum of $10,000.
