GoDaddy Becomes the Fastest Growing Certification Authority

February 10, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Domain registrar, GoDaddy.com was named in Netcraft's (http://www.netcraft.com) February 2005 Netcraft Secure Server Survey report as the Certification Authority (CA) that experienced the largest monthly gain in number of issued Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates worldwide. Go Daddy increased the number of SSL certificates issued under its name by 50% within the first month of 2005. The report compared the growth experienced by Go Daddy to that of competing CA's, and found Go Daddy's growth in new certificates leading the second-fastest growing CA by more than 60%.

"Our growth in the SSL market has been strong and steady since we started offering SSL certificates in March of 2004. Our Turbo SSL certificates -- which are issued just as fast as any competitor product, have the very same browser recognition and provide the same level of data security -- are only $29.95. This represents a huge savings to the customer and because of the way Go Daddy provides support to its customers, everybody wins," says Bob Parsons, president and founder of The Go Daddy Group, Inc.

Researching the Internet since 1995, Netcraft, an Internet services company based in Bath, England, is a globally respected authority on market share of web servers, encrypted transactions, and electronic commerce.

"Go Daddy's efforts to diversify its line of SSL certificates products have yielded positive results, and made it a very competitive player in this market," said Rich Miller, an analyst with Netcraft. "Sales of the Turbo SSL certificate have been the major factor in Go Daddy's strong showing in recent months."
