Web Host and Domain Name Provider Dotster Adds cPanel/WHM to VPS |

May 10, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web host and domain name provider Dotster has added cPanel/WHM to its Virtual Private Server (VPS) offerings, the company announced yesterday. The enhancement will apply to each of the company’s plans.
cPanel is one of the industry standards as far as web hosting control panels are concerned, and the solution enables even inexperienced users to create hosting accounts, email accounts and databases, as well as establish multi-level reseller accounts.
Dotster offers three cPanel VPS plans each with unlimited domains, unlimited mailboxes, and unlimited MySQL databases. The plans run on the Linux CentOS operating system and support PHP and Perl programming languages. Packages also include web analytics tools.
A standard Dotster cPanel plan offers 10 Gigabytes of disk space, 256 Megabytes of memory, 500 Gigabytes of bandwidth, and one dedicated IP address. The cPanel Pro plan offers 20 Gigabytes of disk space, 256 Megabytes of memory, 1,000 Gigabytes (or one Terabyte) of bandwidth, and two dedicated IP addresses. The cPanel Premium plan offers 50 Gigabytes of disk space, 512 Megabytes of memory, 2,000 Gigabytes (or two Terabytes) of bandwidth, and four dedicated IP addresses.
Dotster's VPS plans also utilize Virtuozzo, an SWSoft technology which partitions server space into virtual private servers that perform like dedicated servers. VPSs are allocated a specific amount of CPU, memory, and disk space. Virtuozzo allows Dotster VPS customers to reboot their server independently and provides administrator-level access / root access. |
