Data Center Company QTS Realty Trust Acquires Hybrid Cloud and Managed Hosting Provider Carpathia Hosting
Data center company QTS Realty Trust has acquired hybrid cloud and managed hosting provider Carpathia Hosting. The company, whose corporate headquarters are in Overland Park, Kansas, USA, bills itself as a "leader in the infrastructure industry" offering data center and infrastructure services that allow its customers to address their "evolving business goals". The cost of the deal has been reported as being $326 million.

Carpathia Hosting, which has headquarters in Dulles, Virginia, USA, specializes in offering secure and compliant managed services, colocation, and cloud services. The company has a particular focus on offering hybrid cloud services and serves business customers of a range of sizes alongside US government agencies. Together the companies will offer services to around 1,000 customers globally.

“Carpathia is a strong complement to QTS´ fully integrated technology services platform,” explained QTS' Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chad Williams. “We look forward to leveraging the expertise, experience and scale that Carpathia adds to the QTS platform.”
