Comodo Firewall Pro Named One Of Computerworld's Top 10 Free Security Programs |

The May 28, 2008 article recommends ten essential security downloads that are free and that "can protect your privacy and security." The article, written by Preston Gralla, said, "there are plenty of free firewalls out there, but my favorite is Comodo Firewall Pro, which provides top-notch protection from both inbound and outbound threats." With Comodo Firewall Pro, inbound and outbound files are stopped at the firewall, and the user is prompted to allow or block the file before proceeding.

When in Defense+ mode, the user can specify files and folders that cannot be altered, ultimately preserving a computer's system health.
