Cloud Computing Company DeClout Acquires Pacnet Internet’s ISP Assets
Cloud computing company DeClout has acquired Pacnet Internet’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) assets. DeClout, which has headquarters in Singapore, was established in 2010. The company builds “next-generation cloud, data centers, e-commerce and marketplace companies” and prides itself on investing in, incubating and scaling companies “to be market leaders in their industries”.

DeClout has a global presence with operations in over 80 countries. The deal will “expand its regional reach in South-east Asia and expand the customer base for its information technology and telecommunications products”. The acquisition will be made through Acclivis Technologies, a DeClout subsidiary, and cost the company in the region of S$2.3 million.

The acquisition will include all Pacific Internet’s Singaporean trademarks and add another 3,000 customers to DeClout ‘s books. All aspects of the deal are still under the review of Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority and subject to its approval. Once the deal goes through Pacnet Internet’s acquired assets will be “merged with Acclivis' existing ISP business, OSINet” and “rebranded as Pacific Internet”.
