Consumer Electronics Show in Full Swing

January 6, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Bill Gates opened proceedings with a pre-event keynote address where he presented Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system, and celebrities like Justin Timberlake were in attendance to witness events - after a grand opening, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at the Las Vegas Convention Center is in full swing and making a loud noise!

The industry event for audio, digital imaging, gaming, home networking, home theater and video, mobile electronics, and wireless technology is hitting the headlines and receiving worldwide coverage through major networks (including CNBC running live from the event) and promises to do so througout.

As ever, this year’s event showcases gadgets and innovations, and speeches and sessions from the technology industry’s stars. Yahoo! Inc. Chairman and CEO Terry Semel is in attendance and speaking, as is Kodak Chairman and CEO Antonio Perez, Google co-founder Larry Page, and Van Toffler, the president of MTV Networks, there to discuss ‘URGE’ – a new Microsoft platform that will enable Justin Timberlake and his pop star friends to distribute songs to the masses.

Clearly, not an event to be missed if you can make it, CES runs until January 8, 2005. The official event web site is found at http://www.cesweb.org.
