Telecom Techie Jere Carpp Makes Move to Web Hosting Industry

June 6, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - The telecom industry's Jere Carpp announced over the weekend his decision to jump ship and switch over to the web hosting industry as the new director of Channel Partnerships and Business Development for hosting provider C I Host. Carpp, a 15-year veteran in the telecommunications industry previously has worked with AT&T, GTE, Verizon and MCI Worldcom.

"C I Host's continued growth and lucrative business model attracts many of the best professionals in the area," said Christopher Faulkner. "Jere Carpp is a heavy hitter in tech circles, and he will fit nicely with the team we have assembled, complementing our diverse proficiencies nicely."

During Carpp's telecom time, he specialized in data communications from which the Internet sprung forth. In addition, he interacted with Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN) who officially engineered the ARPANET, which grew into the Internet, from Department of Defense architectural designs.

While on the AT&T data communications team, Carpp contributed to the launches of AT&T's PersonaLink Service as well as their very successful AT&T WorldNet Service, which acquired 35,000 customers in the first week.
