BT Global Services and Software Provider Check Point Software Technologies Partner on Embedded Cloud Firewall Services
BT Global Services (BT) and software provider Check Point Software Technologies (Check Point) have partnered on embedded cloud firewall services. The deal sees Check Point add another layer of security capabilities to BT's global network to protect customers when migrating to BT’s cloud services.

BT is a leading British provider of communications services and solutions with customers in around 170 countries. It specializes in global networked IT services alongside “local, national and international telecommunications services” designed for individual customers and businesses. The company’s revenue in the last UK financial year was £17,979 million ($27,436 million).

BT has added a wide range of managed security services to its infrastructure. As companies move to private, public and hybrid clouds, these services maintain performance while protecting against threats. Embedded Cloud Firewall services are now a standard part of BT Global Services.

"As our customers progress in their journey towards cloud-based IT, the need for secured connectivity to cloud resources through the internet has become critical,” explained BT Global Services’ Vice President, Network Services, Keith Langridge. “Our vision is to help them move confidently to cloud whilst minimizing the complexity, risk and cost. BT and Check Point have a long track record of successfully working together with world leading multinational companies. Our new embedded Cloud Firewall services considerably reinforce the security credentials of BT's cloud service integration offering".
