Web Hosting Provider Affinity Internet Announces Launch of Server Mechanic Online Game |

October 25, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting, ecommerce and online marketing services provider Affinity Internet has announced the launch of Server Mechanic (http://www.ServerMechanic.com), an online game with a strong IT focus.
Server Mechanic is built in Flash and replicates the challenges IT professionals face on a daily basis. These challenges include “finding and locating a malfunctioning server in a crowded data center, replacing faulty hardware components and figuring out the right commands to bring a dead server back to life”. The game is available for individual play or people can challenge a colleague or friend. The game has 4 levels.
Although the game is designed to be enjoyable, it could work out profitable for the people who play it. Players can win prizes such as an Xbox 360, and domain names each week for nine weeks. When the competition finishes the player with the best overall time will automatically win a 32” LCD HDTV. In total the company will be giving away $10,000 in prizes and winners will be announced on Gate.com (http://www.gate.com) each week.
