Adhost, a leading business Web site hosting and co-location facility, and Altrec.com, a premier online retailer for outdoor enthusiasts and active travel gear, today announced a partnership agreement to license Altrec’s proprietary “Scout” customer management system.
Adhost has just launched its own interactive support system enabled by the Scout software. In the coming weeks Adhost will begin licensing Altrec’s Scout software to its own hosting and co-location clients for use on their e-commerce sites.
The Scout customer management system allows customer service representatives (CSRs) and customers to directly communicate via any Web browser. Scout operates similar to online instant messaging software but is much more powerful. The Scout software allows CSRs to guide customers, by taking control of their browsers, to specific pages, information and resources anywhere on the World Wide Web.
